Account Deletion & Data Export

You can delete your account and export your data at any time. This page explains how, in line with Google Play and Indian privacy law (DPDP Act 2023).

Delete Account in the Mobile App

Job seekers (employees):

  1. Open the app and go to Profile
  2. Scroll to Delete Account and tap it
  3. Type DELETE to confirm
  4. Enter your password if you registered with email/password. Google Sign-In users may leave the password blank when signed in.

Employers:

  1. Open Employer Support
  2. Tap Delete Account
  3. Type DELETE to confirm

Export Your Data

Before deleting, you may download a copy of your data:

  • Employees: Profile → Download My Data (JSON file)
  • Employers: Employer Support → Download My Data

The export includes your profile, applications or job posts, and account metadata. Payment records may be retained separately as required by law.

Request by Email

If you cannot access the app, email us with the subject Account Deletion Request from your registered email address.

We verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days.

What Happens When You Delete

  • Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out
  • Personal data (name, email, phone, photo, resume) is removed or anonymized within 90 days
  • Job applications may be anonymized but retained where employers need records
  • Payment and tax records may be kept for up to 8 years as required by Indian law
  • Aggregated analytics data (non-identifiable) may be retained
